Like and repost can't carry every reaction

One heart, one boost, many meanings

On X, formerly Twitter, the like is a single heart and the repost boosts reach. Both are useful, but they push every response through 2 fixed shapes. A heart has to stand in for "I agree", "this is funny", "this is sad", and "take this seriously", while a repost mixes endorsement with plain amplification.

Emojery keeps Like and repost intact and adds a second signal beside them, so agreement, amusement and alarm stop competing for the same heart.

Reactions stay attached to the post

The X adapter targets public post permalinks and recognizes both x.com and twitter.com addresses for the same post. A reaction belongs to the canonical post URL rather than to a timeline position, a search result, or a promoted slot, so it stays put whichever domain you arrived from.

What Emojery adds to X

A full emoji palette beside the post actions

Emojery sits beside the reply, repost, and like controls. The trigger opens the searchable palette, and the search box is what keeps it fast: one typed word, one tap, and the reaction costs less than the reply you decided not to post.

Public totals, no public list of who reacted

A post's totals are readable by anyone, with no X or Emojery login. Adding to them takes one provider sign-in, so a burst of fresh handles cannot move a number the way it moves a reply count. The model is documented on the counts page.

Posts and photos, from the same picker

The trigger appears on photo pages as well as the post itself, and both count against the parent post's canonical URL, so opening a photo full-screen and reacting there adds to the same total, never a second one. Optional: mirror your emoji to the Like

How Auto-press works on X

Plenty of people want the heart to keep meaning what it meant before. Turn on the off-by-default Auto-press original buttons setting and a positive emoji clicks Like for you, with the same reach effects your own click has. There is no dislike on X to mirror, so a negative or neutral pick leaves the row alone, and clearing your reaction releases a Like only if the extension put it there.

Privacy note

Emojery doesn't sign in to X or touch your account: by default it never Likes or reposts, and a reaction goes to Emojery rather than to X, keyed to the post's canonical URL. Only the aggregate is public, never the handles behind it, and a post an anonymous visitor can't open has no target to count.

Does Emojery work on both X and old Twitter URLs?

Yes. The adapter recognizes x.com and twitter.com addresses for the same post, so a reaction lands on the same canonical target whichever domain you opened.

Are photos on X supported?

Yes. Posts and their photo pages are both supported surfaces, and both count against the parent post's canonical URL.

Does Emojery replace the X Like button?

No. Like and repost keep working as they always have, and nothing presses them unless you ask. If you would rather see one control, Hide original buttons clears the native ones from your own view. If you would rather make one click do both jobs, Auto-press original buttons has a positive emoji press Like as well.
