How it works
- 36 cards, 6 each. The last card of the deck is turned face up, and its suit is trump for the whole game.
- The attacker plays a card; the defender beats it with a higher card of the same suit, or with any trump.
- The attacker may add cards of a rank already on the table, up to 6 or the defender's hand size.
- A defender who beats everything clears the table and attacks next. One who cannot takes the whole lot.
- Everyone draws back up to 6. Once the deck runs out, the last player still holding cards is the durak: the fool.

- Tap a card to attack with it; to defend, tap the card on the table, then the card that beats it.
- Take picks the table up; Done ends your attack.
- Tab walks your hand, Enter plays the focused card.
- N deals a new game.
Nobody wins durak
The game has no winner, only a loser: whoever is left holding cards once the deck is gone. So the question every bout asks is not how to take the most, but how to get rid of the most while spending the least. A trump spent on a 7 in the first minute is a trump you do not have when the bot leads 3 aces at the end.
This is podkidnoy, the throw-in version: once a card is on the table, the attacker may add any card of a rank already there, beaten or not. It is why a pair is worth more than its ranks suggest, and why taking early is sometimes the cheaper answer.
What the bot does
The bot beats each card with the cheapest card that still does it, and holds its trumps back while the deck is thick: early on, it would rather pick up 2 small cards than spend a king of trumps on them. It leads low and plain, prefers a rank it holds twice, and throws in low cards while you defend. Once the deck is out it plays to empty its hand at any price. Your wins and losses are counted on this device and nowhere else.
