How it works
- Play a card that matches the top of the pile by colour or by emoji. Nothing you want to play: draw 1, and play it straight away if it fits.
- 🚫 skips the next player, 🔁 reverses the order, and ➕2 makes the next player draw 2 and miss the turn, unless they answer with a ➕2 of their own, which passes the whole stack on.
- 🌈 is wild and names the next colour; the wild ➕4 does that too and makes the next player draw 4, but only when you hold nothing in the colour being played.
- Down to 1 card, press the shout button before the next player moves, or draw 2.
- First to empty their hand wins the round and scores the points left in everyone else's. 500 wins the game.
Controls
- Tap or click a card to play it; the playable ones are lit.
- Tab walks your hand, Enter plays the focused card.
- D draws (or passes after a draw), U shouts, or catches a bot that forgot to, N starts a new game.
The deck
108 cards in 4 colours. Each colour has one 0, two of each number from 1 to 9, and two each of 🚫 skip, 🔁 reverse and ➕2. On top of that come 4 🌈 wilds and 4 wild ➕4s. Numbers score their face value, a coloured action card 20, and a wild 50. Every colour also carries a shape in the corner, 🔺 red, ⭐ yellow, 🍀 green and 💧 blue, so a card says what colour it is without asking anyone to tell red from green.
2 house rules are worth knowing. A ➕2 can be answered with another ➕2, which passes the whole stack on to the next player; the wild ➕4 cannot be stacked. And the ➕4 is only playable when you hold nothing in the colour being played. The bots follow the same rules and, now and then, forget to shout.
