How it works
- Every move slides the whole board one way, and every tile goes as far as it can.
- 2 of the same emoji merge into the next one in the chain, and the merge is worth the tile it made.
- A tile that just merged is finished for that move, so 4 in a row become 2 pairs rather than 1 tile.
- A move that changes nothing costs nothing: a new egg only appears when something actually moved.
- It ends when the board is full and no 2 neighbours match.
Controls
- Arrow keys or WASD.
- Swipe the board on a touch screen.
- The on-screen pad, for a target to press rather than a gesture to remember.
- R starts a new game.
The chain
Each step is worth twice the one before it, exactly as 2 and 4 and 8 are in the original. The emoji only replace the numerals, so a board that reaches 🐉 is a board that reached 4096.
