How it works
- Each player gets 2 cards of their own; 5 shared cards come out in 3 steps: the flop, the turn and the river.
- Bet, call, raise or fold in each round. The best 5-card hand out of your 2 and the 5 shared wins the pot.
- The blinds go up every 10 hands, so a careful stack still has to play.
- The 3 bots play differently: 1 is tight, 1 is loose, 1 bluffs. None of them sees your cards.
- Knock all 3 out to win the table. Your best finish is kept on this device.
Controls
- Tap or click Fold, Check or Call, and Raise.
- The slider sets the raise; Min, ½ pot, Pot and All in set it in 1 tap.
- Keys F, C and R fold, call and raise; A sets all in.
- D deals the next hand. N, pressed twice, leaves for a new table.
How the bots think
Before the flop each bot scores its 2 cards on a chart and plays the ones its temper allows: Tina waits for the top of the chart, Lou plays about half of what he is dealt, and Blix raises with hands he should fold. After the flop a bot deals the rest of the board out a few hundred times against random hands to find how often it wins, then weighs that against what the call costs and how big the pot is. None of them sees your cards, the deck, or each other's hands.
All-ins and side pots
A player who is all in can only win what they matched. When 2 stacks of different sizes are all in, the chips split into a main pot everyone is in for and a side pot only the bigger stacks can win, and the showdown pays each one to the best hand that was in for it. A tie splits the pot, and an odd chip goes to the first winner left of the button. The blinds start at 10/20 and go up every 10 hands.
