Emoji derby
6 horses, real odds, and a race you watch to the line. The long shots pay for being long.
The race card
0chips
Pick a horse, set a bet, then race.
Bet 0 chips
How it works
- Every race has 6 horses with their own odds, from a favourite at 2 to 1 to a long shot at 30 to 1.
- Put chips on 1 horse, then start the race.
- The odds are the real chances with the house's cut taken off: a 5 to 1 horse wins a little less than 1 race in 6.
- Each horse's form is its last 5 finishes, and it means something.
- The chips are pretend and shared with every casino game here.
Controls
- Tap a horse to pick it, a chip to set the bet, then Race.
- Keys 1 to 6 pick a horse, Enter starts the race.
- N brings the next race card.
The result comes before the animation
A real race is not decided by the pictures. This one draws its finish order from the odds first - the same weighted draw that set the price on each horse - and only then plays a race that ends there, with jockeying and lead changes along the way. The commentary describes whoever is in front at that moment, not a script written for a winner it already knows.
Nothing leaves the tab
The card, the race and the chip count all happen in this tab. The chips are shared with every other casino game here, and a fresh 1,000 is free the moment they run out.

React to more than a scoreboard
