Pin the toolbar button

Browsers hide new extensions behind a menu. Pinning Emojery puts its popup, and every setting in it, one click away.

Chrome, Edge and other Chromium browsers

  1. Click the puzzle-piece icon in the toolbar, to the right of the address bar. It opens the list of installed extensions.
  2. Find Emojery in the list.
  3. Click the pin next to it. Edge words the same control as Show in toolbar.
  4. Click the Emojery icon now sitting in the toolbar. The popup opens on its Settings, History, Account and Report tabs, which is where the rest of these articles start.
Drawing Chrome and Edge put the list behind the puzzle piece; Firefox behind its own extensions button. The pin control sits beside the name in all of them.

Firefox

  1. Click the extensions button in the toolbar, the puzzle piece.
  2. Click the gear next to Emojery.
  3. Choose Pin to Toolbar.

What the number on the icon means

It counts the Emojery buttons found on the page you are looking at, and it climbs as you scroll and more of them mount. It resets when you open another page.

It is not a count of your own reactions, and not a notification badge. On a site Emojery does not support the icon is gray and carries no number at all, which is the quickest way to tell whether a page is supported.
